vCheck is an independent vehicle information service developed by Lee Strong, working under Mestro Group.

vCheck is not affiliated with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), or any other government department.

Information we collect

vCheck does not require users to create an account and does not collect personal identifiers such as names, email addresses or phone numbers.

Vehicle registration numbers are used only to retrieve vehicle information from official data sources such as DVLA and DVSA APIs.

vCheck does not sell, rent, trade or profile vehicle registration data.

Information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, in order to provide vehicle information requested by the user.

Data storage

vCheck does not permanently store vehicle registration numbers on its servers.

Limited information may be stored locally on your device to support app functionality such as displaying recent checks.

You can remove this information at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

vCheck retrieves vehicle information from official third-party services, including:

When you choose to open external services such as insurance enquiries (for example, via MIB Navigate), you are subject to the privacy policies of those services.

Important

vCheck does not control how third-party services use your information. You should review their privacy policies before using them.

Analytics and tracking

vCheck does not use advertising trackers or behavioural profiling.

Anonymous technical data may be collected by the app platform (such as crash reports) to help improve reliability.
